Endodontic therapy, or root canal therapy, is carried out when dental caries breaks through a tooth – both enamel and dentine - and reaches the pulp. If the tooth cavity is not healed, the infection spreads towards the bone and into the pulp, when endodontic therapy is required to eliminate the infection and protect the decontaminated tooth from future infection. Machine endodontic therapy has many advantages, such as faster and more thorough treatment of root canals, and thus improves patient comfort.
